Password Protected Directories in Hosting
Creating a password-protected area shall take only a few mouse clicks and a few seconds if you host your Internet sites within a hosting account with our company. You won't have to do anything complex - you will need to choose a domain/subdomain, to choose which folder under it must be protected, and then to type in the login name and password that'll be used to access that folder. If a number of individuals need their own login details, there won't be a problem to make a number of different usernames with access to the same folder. All secured folders will appear with a padlock icon inside the File Manager section, so you will always know where this option is active. If you'd like to turn off the protection feature for any folder, you can disable it from the same exact section of the Control Panel where you have enabled it.
Password Protected Directories in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you have a semi-dedicated server account with our company, you shall be able to shield any content which you have uploaded via our protection tool. Its interface is as basic and intuitive as that of the Hepsia CP it is a part of, so you will not need to type in any code at any time. You will only have to choose one of the domains/subdomains you have inside the website hosting account and to determine which folder should be password-protected - the website’s root folder or some folder below it. You may then type in the username and the password, which will be stored in encrypted form in our system, and you will be ready. The protection shall be turned on instantly, so anyone who tries to access the recently secured folder will have to enter the correct login info. If several individuals must be able to open the exact same content, you could make a separate username for each of them.
