A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a specific mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. To put it differently, if you delete an email address and somebody still sends an email to it, or to any miswritten email address under the same domain name, you will receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be vital in case you run a business, for example. Since you may start receiving spam messages, you can combine the catch-all feature with anti-spam filters in order to get only legitimate messages in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

Setting up a catch-all e-mailbox will be really easy if you have a hosting plan with us. You can activate the feature through our powerful, yet user-friendly Email Manager tool, which is an indivisible part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer the web hosting account itself. You will find all the mailboxes that you’ve set up enumerated in alphabetical order and on the right-hand side of each of them there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly reveal to you whether a particular mailbox gets all the messages for a certain domain name or not. With a single click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this feature whenever you like. In case there’s active email forwarding or if a different mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a given domain name, you will get a warning notice from our system. The latter won’t replace/disable anything automatically and without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-developed Hepsia Control Panel that is included with each and every semi-dedicated server plan that we offer will allow you to set up a catch-all mailbox with ease even if you do not have much web/email hosting experience. All you have to do to achieve that is click on the catch-all icon, which will be next to each mailbox that you have set up with your domains in the Email Manager section of the hosting Control Panel. Since you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will notify you if you have already configured a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you would like to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you decide that you do not need this feature any longer, you can disable it by clicking again on the same icon. The Email Manager section will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
