Memcached in Hosting
If you host script-based sites in a hosting account with us, you’ll be able to add the Memcached distributed memory object caching system to your shared web hosting plan with only a few clicks from your Hepsia Control Panel. The upgrade will be available immediately and, since the PHP extension required for it is already installed on our innovative cloud website hosting platform, you can begin using it right away. To give you more versatility, we offer two different upgrades related to the number of instances (i.e. how many Internet sites will use Memcached) and to the memory that the Memcached caching system will use. The latter comes in increments of 16 MB and you can order memory as many times as you like. Naturally, the more memory Memcached is permitted to use, the more data it will cache, so in case you own a regularly visited site with a lot of content, you may require more memory in order to be able to make full use of the power that Memcached can give you.
Memcached in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you obtain one of our semi-dedicated server packages, you’ll find Memcached as an optional feature in the Upgrades part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, so if you would like to use it for any of the sites hosted in the semi-dedicated server hosting account, you can enable it with only a few clicks. The content caching platform is suitable for any script-based software app like WordPress, Joomla™, or even a custom-built app, and based on your demands, you’ll be able to choose two different features – how many websites will use the Memcached caching platform, i.e. the number of instances; and how much info will be cached, i.e. the amount of memory that the platform will employ. The two things are not bound to each other, so if you have a frequently visited site with lots of content, you can get one instance and a larger amount of memory. The Memcached caching platform will enhance the performance of your websites shortly after you enable it and both you and your site visitors will enjoy better load speeds.
Memcached in VPS Servers
Memcached is included by default with each and every VPS server that we are offering as long as you select Hepsia as your hosting Control Panel, so you won’t need to pay any extra cash to be able to make the most of the full potential of this memory caching system. The more powerful Virtual Private Server hosting package you choose, the more memory Memcached will have for information storage purposes, but you will have at least several hundred MB at all times, which is much more than what you’d get with a shared plan. This will enable you to use the Memcached caching system for lots of Internet sites, irrespective of how popular they are, which in turn means that you can use a less powerful plan for them without overloading the virtual machine. The caching system is ideal for script-driven web applications such as WordPress, Joomla™, OpenCart or Mambo, and you can utilize it even with a custom-built app. Soon after you enable the Memcached caching system, it will start storing content and you will perceive the optimized performance of your websites.
Memcached in Dedicated Servers
Any dedicated server ordered with our Hepsia Control Panel comes with Memcached pre-installed by default, so you can start using this caching system the moment your server is set up, without needing to install or upgrade anything. The amount of memory that Memcached can employ depends on the very server that you have chosen, but since our servers are extremely powerful and due to the fact that it’s likely that you will host resource-intensive Internet sites on them, the minimum amount of memory that the caching system can use is three gigabytes. This will allow you to optimize the overall performance of extremely popular sites with no effort and you’ll note the difference shortly after the Memcached caching system begins caching database queries. You can take advantage of the caching system with any database-driven web portal, including those that are based on famous Content Management Systems like Joomla™ and WordPress.
